One to One
For those who want a quieter, more personal space to explore what’s going on in their body.
When I work with someone I tend to think in three phases. Not because people move in a straight, predictable way but because it helps explain what we’re actually doing.
🟢 Phase one is about reconnecting.
We come back to breath and to simple movement.
How much do you rely on your breath for strength and stability?
Do you feel it when you move, or is it something you hold without realising?
And are you actually connected to how your body moves in space?
Where you are in relation to the ground, to the room, to what you’re holding or stepping on?
The duration of this phase varies from person to person for different reasons.
But the outcome is always the same: more awareness, more ease, and less guessing.
🟢 Phase two is about integrating that awareness into movement.
Now we start to look at things more specifically.
Squatting. Hinging. Reaching. Shoulder movement. Hip rotation. How your back joins in? How are your feet, hands & wrists working to support you?
Your body already knows what to do - with focussed support, understanding, and movement efficiency we restore it back to what it used to be.
🟢 Phase three is about using your body well.
We keep integrating. Movement becomes more natural, more efficient, and less effortful.
You’re not forcing shapes or holding unnecessary tension and you're not wasting energy.
What you're learning to embody is a way of moving that feels supportive, capable, and sustainable......And from here, the journey just keeps evolving.
These phases aren’t boxes to tick as they will overlap and they will change depending on the person.
But the direction is always the same:
More awareness, efficiency, trust in your body and less tension, confusion or fighting yourself.
If you read this and thought: Yes! That’s exactly what I want to understand in my body. Then one to one work will probably suit you very well.
